BlackBerry to release 8900 Curve

This year RIM has amazed us with two new cutting edge mobiles, the Blackberry Bold and the Blackberry Storm. Well ok, not so much with the storm as the UI is buggy and unreliable at the moment. I would hope after a software update it will be much better.

However I can’t see this happening in the near future, which is a shame as RIM and in particular Vodafone have shot themselves in the foot by rushing through the release. I mean if you buy a Ferrari, you don’t get told “sorry it’s only got a 1.2 litre engine as we are still building the 6 litre version”. It is a joke.

Anyway, rant over, Blackberry are releasing a new version of their popular Curve called the 8900. The 8900 appears similar to the Bold but is smaller. However there is the fantastic screen and 3.2 MP camera. There is no 3G though. But the battery is going to be even better than the outgoing model.

Due for release in December it is expected to be a big seller in the wake of disappointment from the Storm.
