It was reported on various sources a while back that the Samsung Omnia i900 would be exclusive on Orange. But shortly after, Vodafone announced the phone would be added to their collection. So it seems it actually wasn’t an exclusive at all.
However, we can reveal that Orange do infact appear to have an exclusive on the 16Gb model whilst Vodafone only have the 8Gb version.

Well we reported a couple of weeks ago that the HTC Touch Diamond would be coming to the o2 network under the guise of XDA Ignito and it looks as if its in the stores now.
The XDA Ignito is in the current o2 magazine, where it states that it will be available in the middle of August and it seems as if they were right. From the picture attached, it looks like the only basic customization o2 have done is add their logo to the front of the device and add a blue TouchFLO interface option.

Phone network, Orange, are really pushing a few offers at the moment. First they have the Blackberry Bold exclusive, then there was the 16Gb version of the Samsung Omnia i900. Now we can reveal that Orange will offer the Asus Eee PC 900 in their broadband package.
The Eee PC 900 is amazing and offers performance and mobility with an 8.9 inch display, 1.3 megapixel webcam and 16Gb memory. There’s 2.5 hours of battery life too, and it weighs less than bag of sugar. To get this you have to sign up for a 24 month contract. You’ll pay £25 and get a 3Gb usage allowance with 100 text messages included which can be sent directly from the laptop.

Well not quite, but it seems that way. A good friend of mine has a habit of crashing his car, so it was no surprise that when we were out one day last week, we were involved in a fairly horrific accident that rendered the car a little useless.
When we were picked up by the AA man, I was surprised he had a Windows Mobile with him that he used to input various things. Then when the recovery vehicle arrived, he had a Windows Mobile with him.

Even with the ever growing Windows Mobile market, it comes as a surprise that the popular Smartphone & Pocket PC Magazine will be stopping its publication. This comes as a shock when it has been running quite successfully for the past 11 years.
The magazine is run by Hal Goldstein, who said that, it has become increasingly harder to stay on top over the last three years, especially since Windows Mobile went from being PDAs to being phones.

Phone maker HTC has announced a new Windows Mobile phone. The HTC S740, which has a peculiar design.
As a replacement for the HTC S730 it is a Smartphone with a sliding out QWERTY keyboard. There’s a 528 MHz processer and a whopping 256MB RAM. The S740 has a superb display measuring 2.4″, but there is obviously no touch screen capability.
The S740 has the same back to it as the HTC Diamond. There’s a 3.2 megapixel camera, GPS, Wi-Fi and lots of other great features The phone will be available to buy from September but there is no news on the pricing structure yet.

Phone manufacturer, Palm have a new Windows Mobile phone coming out soon and already there have been a few appearances of the device online. The Palm Treo Pro will support GSM and super fast HSDPA data transfers and all this running on Windows Mobile Pro.
Wi-Fi is included as well as a microSD card slot and oddly enough an infrared port which we havnt seen on a modern phone for years. As usual Bluetooth is present along with the audio jacks and microUSB ports. From the initial leaked photos we can see that the phone is sure going to be popular due to its looks.

Phone giant, Nokia has today introduced a new device to its high end Arte-series. The Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte is basically the same phone as the previous devices, however it features carbon fiber with various 3d patters on its outside.
The phone will have the turn to mute and tap for time functionality that we have been used to since the first incarnation. This uses a built in accelerometer to make these features work. The new feature is the internal memory of the device is now increased to 4GB.

Ringtones
I used to like mobile ringtones, but then they became annoying and intrusive and drove me to near madness. How lovely of people to take the best of technology and mold it into an irritating noise.
I know its not possible to bring back the original monotone ringtones but they were a lot less annoying that the MP3 and polyphonic tones on offer now. Its really annoying listening to all the ringtones at work only to go home at night and be haunted by them.
