Phone network o2 has now confirmed that the iPhone 3G will go on prepay sale on 16th September . The 8GB will cost £349.99 and the 16GB version will cost £399.99. This price also includes unlimted data and wifi for 12 months.
o2 say that launching the iPhone on prepay will open up the more of the market to what is arguably the best phone available. With the data and wifi access free for the first 12 months it really does mean the best and easiest mobile browsing experience for customers.
The phone will be available to pay and go customers in Apple, o2 and carphone warehouse retail stores. It is also available on 18 month contracts starting at £30 per month with the 8GB model costing £99 on the £30 and £35 tariffs.
