In October we will see the launch of Nokia’s latest beast of a phone rammed full of features. Yes that’s right, the N96. The successor of the N95, the phone sets new benchmarks in every area as Nokia to appeal to a large market. The only downside is the price tag of £550!
O2 are refusing to stock the N96, mainly because of their commitment to the Apple iPhone, whilst other operators are finding the price of the phone a little steep. When you look at the iPhone which is available on pay as you go for £399, the N96 really does have an immense task on its hands to prove it warrants the price.
The Nokia N95 really was a great phone, when the bugs and crap battery were sorted out and there are undoubtedly large numbers of customers coming to the end of their contracts who will want to upgrade to the N96 but will it prove to too expensive for the masses.
