Following on from the success of the LG Cookie KP500 (and Samsung’s brave attempts to challenge LG’s title of having the ‘best mid range touch screen’), LG have announced a new device in this range: the LG Cookie KP501.
The KP501 now comes with 3G, and a new 2D accelerator interface, making this phone belong to their ‘S-class’ range of devices.
The new devices looks are similar to the previous Cookie phone, which is good – I always find it annoying how manufacturers make a great looking phone, and when they create the upgrade they take away the looks. True, sometimes they make the device look better, but it can go horribly wrong – like the Sony Ericsson P910 to the P990. **shudder** After such a loooooooong wait, the P990 did not live up to my expectations that everyone had for it.
But getting back to the LG Cookie KP501…
I am, so far, pleasantly surprised with its appearance. And I like the name too!
But I think that LG still have to change one thing about the phone, and that is to make the stylus external (like it is on the Viewty), which is going to help make the device stand out more as being something sensible to use.
