Finally after a long wait, the very first touch screen device from Nokia running on the S60 platform has arrived. Nokia has not disappointed by keeping to their November deadline. Sadly, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic will be far in excess of the €279 originally slated.
The phone will be onsale for over €700 in most of the online shops. We would estimate that the launch of the device now will mean that costs could be lower just in time for Christmas.
Just to recap here is a quick brief of the phone spec. It has a 3.2 inch screen with a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels. A 3.2 megapixel camera with VGA video at 30 fps are included too. Additionally the phone supports quad-band and 3G with HSDPA. It also has GPS, 3.5mm standard audio jack, TV-out and a microSD card slot.
