O2 in Germany have announced a new phone to its XDA line up. Following in the footsteps of the O2 XDA Orbit 2 comes the XDA Guide. Initially it seems like it is based on the HTC Touch 3G.

The new phone comes with built in GPS and TomTom Navigator as well as maps of Europe. It also comes with a swanky car kit making it ideal for businesses. Hardware wise there is a 528 MHz Qualcomm processor and 256 MB of RAM. There is also 512 MB of ROM that is microSD expandable.

The Guide has TouchFLO courtesy of the QVGA touchscreen and supports HSDPA, WiFi and Bluetooth, along with Opera Mobile 9.5 internet browser.

There is a footprint feature that lets you send pictures with positioning data. On similar phones the pictures can be used for navigation. This means whoever received them will be able to navigate to the photographed location by a single click.
