Well the wait is over. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 has been released much earlier than its 30th October due date. The device has made quite a few shops around Europe and can be yours for the massive price of €630. Now that is one hell of a price and we would hope that the phone lives up to its expectations to justify the high cost.
So what are the alternatives? Well if that price is a little too high, then take a look at the HTC Touch Pro which retails for €560. This phone has the same features as the Sony more or less but doesn’t boast the Sony Ericsson badge. We will be posting a review of the X1 at a later date.
On a personal note, I will be waiting very patiently for the brand new HTC Touch HD, which made its first appearance a couple of months ago. That should be one hell of a phone to compete with the Apple iPhone 3G.
