T-Mobile MDA Vario IV and Compact IV – New additions to the range
Author: Adam // Category: Mobile NewsFollowing in the footsteps of the HTC Touch Diamond, T-Mobile have announced two new models that are based on HTCs new addition.
Introducing the MDA Vario IV and the MDA Compact IV.
The Compact IV is the T-Mobile equivalent of the HTC Touch Diamond but with a larger design and more rounded edges. Interestingly it is considerably lighter too, weighing in at 98g compared with the Diamonds’ 110g. Being T-Mobile they have customised the interface to reflect their brand and the total RAM is only 128MB rather than the 192MB included with the diamond.
The Vario IV will essentially be an upgrade from the HTC TyTN II. The total thickness of the device is only 18mm. Running off the same processer as the Compact IV it offers impressive performance and has 256MB RAM with an expandable MicroSD card slot.
The display is the same as the Diamond and has a 3.2 MP camera as well as a new 1340 mAh battery rather than the under performing 900 mAh one from the Diamond. Weighing in at 158g, the Vario is due for release in the Autumn with pricing information still unavailable.
